Join Paul Tito for a tour of Yarrow Stadium. With 100 games playing for Taranaki and 124 for the Cardiff Blues in Wales as well as significant Super Rugby Caps for the Hurricanes. Paul is well placed to share stories of the stadium and talk about the challenges of coaching professionally in todays environment. Gregor Paul wrote:
“There is something distinctly Kiwi about Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth. It is exactly how you imagine a regional stadium in the spiritual home of rugby should be. In the background is the beautiful Mt Taranaki almost regal in the way it holds itself. That sets the scene, lets you know you are in New Zealand. Then there is the ground itself. It is tight. The two stands are close to the pitch and you feel you are almost on top of the action. The players know you are there and it is a shared, intense experience.”
In the 2005 tour the Lions played Taranaki at Yarrow Stadium with Paul Tito playing in the Taranaki team.
