Taste Taranaki

Enjoy a coffee roasting tour and tasting in one of New Zealand’s premier roasting houses Ozone where you will hear about sourcing Fair Trade beans from around the globe. You will observe the roasting process before  undertaking a smell test to distinguish between the different beans.

Over a coffee in the Bean store you can take the opportunity to hear more about the operation as it is seen as Ozone’s flagship Your coach will then take you to Bees R Us who produce honey for not only the local market but also overseas. With between 800 and 1000 hives Bees R Us produce  a range of honey From raw honey, bush honey and clover through to the much sought after manuka  Fiona will describe the production process and give you a range to taste and test.

From here you will head to Greenmeadows Beef. The Carey family founded Greenmeadows in 2012 with the dream to take grass-fed Angus beef they farmed straight into the mouths of New Zealand families. At their manufacturing plant on the outskirts of New Plymouth you will hear the story and taste a range of their products on offer. Your coach will then return you to central New Plymouth.
