Free screening of New Zealand film, The World’s Fastest Indian

Get into your red Lions jersey for free admission to a special screening of The World’s Fastest Indian at Wellington’s iconic Embassy Theatre.

Written and directed by Roger Donaldson, The World’s Fastest Indian stars Anthony Hopkins as Burt Munro, a quintessential New Zealander who dreamed of making his 1920 Indian Twin Scout the fastest bike on earth.  Born and raised in Invercargill at the very bottom of New Zealand’s South Island, Munro set off from the bottom of the world to test his bike at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats.  With the odds against him, he set a new speed record in 1967 which remains unbroken to this day.
